Researcher Essentials: Publishing and how to get Published – 17 June 2014

An event that some of you PhD students and researchers out there might want to attend this month. I’ve been invited to take part in the afternoon event ‘Researcher Essentials: Publishing and how to get Published’ at Loughborough University School of the Arts, UK, on Tuesday 17 June 2014, speaking about my personal experiences of publishing online and in print, and also through my independent curatorial practice.

The programme will specifically address early career researchers, largely from the East and West Midlands, and their relationship with the publishing industry through keynote speeches, a panel discussion, masterclasses, workshops, films and a networking social with a variety of publishers. It will look at the extended field of publishing: events, exhibitions, performances, film, photography, curatorial practice and sloganeering as well as traditional publishing, artists books and zines.

Furthermore, there are three opportunities for Postgraduate Researchers to take part in the event:

3. Bring your artists books, pamphlets, manifestos and zines (etc) on the day and exhibit in the Ephemeral Library.
