A Friday afternoon creative escape…a short film by Brook Lin and Richard Smith called ‘The progress of a year one Barlett monster’ from UCL’s, Bartlett School of Architecture as part of their ‘Summer Show Bartfest 2010’. It shows students development and work in motion from the first year level. Profound fluidity of thought patterns and idea-making, almost like dreaming through writing and drawing…also showing the use and importance of sketchpads and notepads (I know I can’t live without mine)…with a nice soundtrack by Caribou too. It makes me want to get back to making…I’m stuck in a world of words at the moment. It makes me happy to be a creative though…this is my world, isn’t it beautiful sometimes?
